I’m Melissa, a feminine embodiment mentor, yoga teacher, and mindfulness coach, and the founder of Feminine Power.I help women who feel anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected from themselves, or stuck in “good girl” patterns reconnect with their intuition, body, and nervous system through feminine embodiment practices, yoga, and mindfulness.. so they can feel grounded, empowered, and at home in their own lives

From “good girl” to inner truth

Very early in life, I was confronted with how fragile everything we take for granted really is. It made me appreciate the smallest moments, but it also made me afraid of change, loss, and uncertainty.

So I did what many daughters do: I became the good girl. I stayed in relationships that didn’t fit. I built a career that looked glamorous in fashion and project management for big brands, even while my body whispered that something was wrong and my nervous system was constantly “on.”

If you see yourself in this, please know you’re not alone. And if you already feel a gentle pull while reading this, you are always welcome to reach out to me with your questions via my Skool profile. I truly love hearing where you are on your journey:

When my body spoke louder than my career

A series of deeply painful experiences around fertility, loss, and physical recovery brought me back into direct conversation with my body. At my lowest, my whole body hurt—physically, emotionally, energetically.

One day, lying in bed, my body began to move instinctively. Gentle, intuitive movements eased my pain and soothed my nervous system in a way words never could. That was my doorway into yoga, somatic awareness, and nervous system regulation.

I began studying psychology to understand the mind and later trained as a yoga teacher, mindfulness coach, prenatal yoga teacher, and fitness coach—not to collect certificates, but to collect tools for grounding, embodiment, and healing. The more I practised, the clearer it became: the “successful” life I had built was not aligned with my truth.

The birth of Feminine Power

When my daughter was born, everything crystallized. I realised I did not want her to repeat my patterns: staying in jobs, relationships, and environments that hurt her just to avoid abandonment, rejection, or feeling “not enough.”

I wanted her to trust her body’s signals, regulate her nervous system, feel when something is off—and have the courage to leave. And then I saw it: we are all someone’s daughter.

In 2021, I created Feminine Power as an online classroom. In 2025, I transformed it into a community so women could not only access practices, but also share, discuss, and be witnessed. Today, Feminine Power Within is a living, growing space full of embodiment tools, nervous-system supportive practices, mindset work, and real conversations that go far beyond the original program.

Alongside the main Feminine Power community, I host a yoga classroom for pregnant women and a yoga classroom for busy souls—exactly what I would have needed during my own burnout phases. These spaces focus on realistic, nervous-system-friendly practices that honour your time, energy, and season of life.

All of my programs and offerings live in one place, so they’re easy to find and explore: Skool – Melissa Burgard

Alongside the Feminine Power community, I also offer two dedicated yoga spaces designed for real life: a gentle, nervous-system-friendly yoga classroom for busy people who need short, effective practices they can actually stick to, and a nurturing yoga space for pregnancy that supports women in feeling grounded, connected to their bodies, and held through every stage of this unique season.

What I stand for now

My work is rooted in a few simple truths:

  • Your body and nervous system carry deep wisdom and deserve your respect.

  • You are allowed to change your life, even if it looks “perfect” from the outside.

  • You do not need to wait for a breakdown to start listening to your intuition.

  • Healing yourself is also an act of love for your children and the generations after you.

If you feel the quiet “yes” in your body as you read this, I would be honoured to hear from you. If you have any questions or want to share where you are right now, you can send them to me and explore all my programs here: Skool – Melissa Burgard.
